Echoic Objects: Gallery S O London

10 September - 24 October 2010
Overview

'Echoic Objects' is a group exhibition showing works from selected artists that reflect on the transition of objects into projections. By various self-made devices and means, using light, shadow and/or sound, the object's presence, meaning and function is re-contextualised within its process of projection.

The title refers metaphorically to what objects can transmit and irradiate in the form of sound and/or image. Echoic describes therefore literally an object's possible resonance.

The exhibition seeks to focus on and present works that make the moment of transition visible: What one can see and hear is the path of projection.

Exhibited artists: Marianne Flotron, Karen Geyer, Niamh Riordan, Strotter Inst., Annaïk Lou Pitteloud & Steve van den Bosch
