Stone Exhibition: Gallery S O London

6 September - 27 October 2019
Overview

As a pillar in the evolution of human culture, stone has equipped us with tools, weapons, and ploughs as we built under it, into it and upon it. We use the word "stone" not only to define a material of the earth's essence, but also to describe people, actions and emotions as pure, resolute, total.  Where we once mined stones from the ground, we now grow it in laboratories. Once the domain of royalty and royal favours, now, many gemstones form critical components within mass technology and communication.
